Who We Are

Agbala Orphanage Home, established in 2017 by Evangelist Adewola Adekunle, is a nonprofit organisation that offers a secure and nurturing haven for orphaned and abused children aged from birth to 18. Dedicated to holistic development, the organisation has supported over 60 children, many of whom have faced distressing experiences before the age of 5. Presently, Agbala Orphanage cares for 25 children, providing not only education, accommodation, and sustenance but also a wealth of emotional and social support.

The term “Agbala,” signifying “garden” in Yoruba, encapsulates the essence of the organisation. At the heart of Agbala Orphanage is a devoted team comprising educators, caregivers, support staff, and community collaborators, all committed to fostering the overall growth of each child. Beyond tending to their physical needs, the organisation’s approach embraces emotional and educational facets, acknowledging that these children require multifaceted care. In a nurturing environment akin to a garden, Agbala Orphanage sow seeds of hope and nurtures them with compassionate care, enabling the children to thrive despite adversity and revealing the potential for beauty to emerge from even the most modest beginnings.

Our vision is to create a world where every child has the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their circumstances.

Our Values

Compassion: We approach every child’s story with empathy and understanding, ensuring that they feel valued and loved.

Dignity: We uphold the dignity of each child, fostering an atmosphere of respect, equality, and acceptance.

Empowerment: We strive to empower children by providing them with education, life skills, and the tools they need to shape their destinies.

Community: We work hand in hand with our dedicated staff, volunteers, donors, and partners to create a network of support that enriches the lives of the children we serve.
